Announcing Mathias Bynens, John Brown, Karolina Szczur

We are thrilled to announce the next three speakers of CSSconf EU 2014, who will share unknown CSS secrets, take you on a ride through experimental CSS worlds, and discuss how to stay happy and healthy all the way.

Mathias Bynens

Mathias Bynens is a web standards expert collaborating on open-source projects such as HTML5 Boilerplate and member of Opera Software’s developer relations team. In his talk “3.14 things I didn’t know about CSS” Mathias will showcase a series of obscure CSS fun facts and weird CSS tricks.

John Brown

John Brown is the initiator of Uncontext, creator of hhhhold, and Instrument’s lead developer on the Google I/O 2014 experiment. In his talk “A CSS Dive Through Google’s Powers of Tech” he will share how a complex 3D world was built completely with CSS, explain how they made SVGs move like origami, and show you the pitfalls and triumphs of working with CSS3D, Three.js, and motion.

Karolina Szczur

Karolina Szczur is a designer, developer and photographer currently working at &yet. Her talk “Validate Me” addresses topics that sooner or later most of us encounter: self-doubt, impostor syndrome, confirmation bias, burnout. Karolina will discuss how to cut yourself some slack and surround yourself with people who will empower you to do so.
